Want to hear akai SKY on the radio? The Cupcake and Tea radio show will be playing a song from akai SKY’s new EP, Tokyo Beat Riot on the radio today. If you are in Sudbury, Ontario, you can listen to the show live at 96.7 FM. You can also listen over the Internet at CKLU.ca.

The show is currently on now and will run from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM PT (2:30 – 4:00 PM ET) today and will be available in the station’s  online program archives later. Tune in now!

SAN FRANCISCO, May 24, 2010 – U.S.-based Japanese rock (JRock) band, akai SKY, today debuted their first original recorded album with the four-track EP titled Tokyo Beat Riot.

A compilation of hard rock, upbeat power pop and soulful power ballads, Tokyo Beat Riot, encapsulates the band’s Japanese and American rock musical roots.

Previously only available for streaming on MySpace and Last.fm, the official release of Tokyo Beat Riot marks the first time fans will be able to purchase the album on compact disc (CD) or download the entire album or individual tracks.

Tokyo Beat Riot is available at akaisky.bandcamp.com through the Bandcamp platform. The full digital album and the individual tracks are available to fans for download with a name-your-own-price model. Fans can also purchase a CD version of Tokyo Beat Riot, which includes a four-page booklet with lyrics and full-color photos, for $5 USD plus shipping and handling.
