Summer Memories: Summer Concert Series

Friday, August 28th, 2009

Summer really seems to be the season for concerts, particularly ones that are held outdoors since the weather is (or should be) warm. A few weeks ago I went to see Green Day/Franz Ferdinand. In another couple of weeks I’m going to see Weezer/Blink 182. I like all 4 of these bands, but seriously who put these concerts together? The styles are a big mash-up of rock genres!

Earlier this summer I went to the No Doubt concert! It was amazing! And we got amazingly close because we had tour club tickets. It might not look like we’re that close from the photos, but we must have been in the 13th or 14th row. Sweet!

As myself and the other girls in my dance class grew, her lessons got more advanced – first teaching us soft shoe ballet, then jazz dance  where she exposed us to fun latin-themed dances and taught us the choreography work of Alvin Ailey. And finally, when we were old enough, she taught us to take our first  painful steps on pointe shoes, taking our ballet training to the next level.
