Jinra & Hayashi at Kinyoobi Con on August 8th in Hayward, CA

Earlier in August, akai SKY played at Kinyoobi Con in Hayward, CA on August 8th.

I combed through my photo gallery, but I guess I only took one picture that day. Here’s Jinra and Hayashi chilling out backstage in the shade to keep cool from the summer heat. Hey Jinra, my bass cab is not a chair (for anyone other than me, that is…)

Did you watch our performance at Kinyoobi Con? If so, you saw our special finale song, a collaboration with Lone Wolf from The Shogunate, Oreenji and Kimura. Those three plus the regular members of akai SKY, we were bumping into each other a lot!

Thank you to everyone who came to see us on a Saturday afternoon. Special thanks to the sound crew and the other performers Fujiko-chan, DBR, Eloquence and The Shogunate.

Still going through my summer memories here – this year was my second time going to San Diego Comic-Con. If you’ve never gone, it can be really overwhelming. Something like 150,000 people attend, so people have devised a cute little nick-name for it – “Line Con.”
